Nwajiuba back to duty in education ministry

The minister of
education in the first term of President Muhammadu Buhari administration,
Mallam Adamu Adamu, with the new minister of state for education, Mr Emeka
Nwajiuba, has resumed duty at his former post after the ministerial
inauguration ceremony Wednesday.

Adamu commended
the ministry’s Permanent Secretary Sonny Echono for the support given to him
during his first tenure. He said that he and the former minister of state for
education, Professor Anthony Anwukah, had worked out the ministry’s strategic
plan before their first tenure ended.

am here because I know I am coming to a family; you all are my teachers and

had to get the idea of what education is. I got to see this after a year and
half,” Adamu told the joyous staff of the ministry.

The minister added
that the appointment of the minister of state would be helpful, saying that he
had met with the members of the staff of the ministry and would ressume office
fully on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the
minister of state for education, Mr Emeka Nwajiuba, a former board chairman,
Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) said that he was happy to be deployed
to education ministry.
