Tinubu Appoints Fayose, 25 others to federal agencies, commissions

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose and 25 others to positions across 10 federal agencies and commissions, with immediate effect.
The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed the appointments in a statement on Monday.
Fayose was named chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency, alongside Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engineer Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta as board members.
Major General Junaid Bindawa was appointed chairman of the National Salary and Wages Commission, with former Lagos lawmaker Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas as secretary, and commissioners named for Benue, Oyo, Kaduna and other states.
Tosin Johnson Adeyanju was redeployed from the National Lottery Trust Fund to serve as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission.
Other appointees include Dr Abuh Mohammed as Director-General of the National Population Commission; Dr Akinola Odeyemi as Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc, and Dr Anthony Inalegwu Godwin as chairman of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission.
Engineer Julius Oloro was named Chief Executive of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation, while Dr Abdullahi Maikano Saidu will chair the newly constituted Fiscal Responsibility Commission board.
Shuni Muhammad Dahiru was appointed Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, replacing Professor Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu. Gisaor Vincent Iorja was named Executive Director (Finance) of the Federal Housing Authority, taking over from Mathias Byuan, who resigned to contest the Benue governorship race.
