Osu-Ajiri of Edege Chiefdom meets with IGP Disu, reaffirms police-community
partnership

The 4th Osu-Ajiri of Edege Chiefdom, His Royal Highness Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed Eko IV, held a strategic meeting with the Inspector-General of Police, (IGP) Olatunji Rilwan Disu, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, on Wednesday, 5 August 2026.
According to a release issued by Hon. Amushi Tanimu Musa, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Osu Ajiri of Edege Chiefdom, the royal father was accompanied on the visit by the Chief of Staff of Surram Empire Homes., which is owned by the monarch.
Hon. Musa described the encounter as warm and cordial, noting that it reflected the longstanding friendship between the traditional ruler and the police chief.
Discussions at the meeting centred on matters of mutual interest, particularly the promotion of peace, security, and national development in Edege chiefdom and across communities in Nigeria.
Both leaders underscored the need for stronger collaboration between traditional institutions and security agencies in Nigeria, stressing that such partnerships remain vital to safeguarding lives and property as well as sustaining unity across the country.
Speaking after the meeting, the Osu-Ajiri commended the Inspector-General for the warm reception accorded him and lauded his commitment to professional policing and national security.
He further offered prayers for divine guidance, wisdom, and strength for the police chief as he continues to steer the affairs of the Nigeria Police Force in his patriotic service to the nation.
