2026 UTME: Steps on how to upload O’Level results from your smartphones

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new technology-driven process that allows candidates to verify and upload their O’Level results directly from their smartphones without necessarily visiting Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.

The Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said the initiative reflects the Board’s commitment to providing efficient, accessible and convenient services to candidates through the use of technology.

Under the new arrangement, candidates can upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, while JAMB verifies the results directly with the examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), beginning with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

The Board said the initiative was designed to make its services easier, faster, safer and more convenient, while reducing unnecessary visits to CBT centres, long queues and manual processes.

It explained that the new system would also address challenges associated with the manual upload of O’Level results, including misplaced or mixed-up result slips, the presentation of unverified or fraudulent results, and errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades.

According to JAMB, through the integration of its e-Facility platform with examination bodies, candidates’ results can now be verified directly against the records of the relevant examination body before being uploaded to their profiles.

How to upload and verify your O’Level result
First Level: Verification of Results
Candidates are required to:
Visit buyresultsverificationcode.ng.
Enter their NIN and click “Verify NIN”.
Select the desired number of sittings and the appropriate examination body or bodies, then click “Continue”.

Enter an email address and GSM number and click “Pay Now” to proceed to the payment gateway.

Make payment using a debit card or bank transfer.

After successful payment, enter the examination details, including:
Examination number
Examination series
Examination year
Verify the result or results for the selected number of sittings and obtain the Verification Code.

Second Level: Upload of O’Level results

Send “VERIFY” followed by the Verification Code to 55019 or 66019.
The result will be uploaded and the candidate will receive a notification.

Candidates with two sittings will be notified to visit their profiles on the JAMB e-Facility platform.

On the e-Facility dashboard, click “2026 UTME O’Level Upload”.
Enter the Verification Code, after which the two verified results will be displayed.

Select the required subjects, ensuring that:
A minimum of five subjects is selected.
A maximum of nine subjects is selected.
No subject is selected more than once.
Click “Apply the O’Level Results”.

Upon successful upload, a notification confirming the submission will be received.

JAMB said the verification service offers candidates a convenient alternative, particularly during periods of high patronage and network challenges at CBT centres.

The Board added that the initiative demonstrates the commitment of its sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to a more customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery system.

It said it would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with relevant examination and government agencies to make its services simpler, safer and more accessible to candidates.
