JAMB clarifies O’Level result upload, says previously uploaded results remain valid

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified that candidates who had previously uploaded their O’Level results on its platform are not required to re-upload the results or obtain a verification code under the newly introduced verification process.
The Board said the clarification became necessary following numerous enquiries and complaints from candidates, particularly those who uploaded their results during registration, after the release of the WAEC results or in previous years under the old process.
In a statement, JAMB explained that the directive applies to all candidates who had successfully uploaded their O’Level results, including those who did so during the current registration exercise, after the release of WAEC results and in previous admission cycles.
According to the Board, all O’Level results uploaded through the previous process remain valid and will continue to be recognised on its platform.
JAMB assured candidates in this category that they are not required to re-upload their results or obtain a verification code.
The Board explained that the new verification process was introduced to further strengthen the integrity of O’Level results and prevent the use of falsified results in the admission process.
It added that O’Level results previously uploaded on its portal would remain valid and, where necessary, would be subjected to the appropriate verification process by the respective institutions.
JAMB, therefore, advised candidates not to panic or make unnecessary repeat uploads of their O’Level results simply because the results were uploaded before the introduction of the new verification arrangement.
The Board assured all affected candidates that their previously uploaded O’Level results remain valid and would be available for consideration in the admission process, subject to the required verification by their respective institutions.
