NYSC DG warns corps members against misconduct

As part of activities lined up for the ongoing 2021 Batch ‘C’ Stream II orientation course, the Director-General of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig-General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has visited the NYSC camp in Lagos where he met with the prospective corps members in order to assess their problems.
The Director-General, who addressed corps members posted to Lagos state, enjoined them to be good ambassadors of their respective families, institutions and shun all acts that are capable of tarnishing the image of the NYSC.
He also advised the corps members to take advantage of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme of the scheme by learning entrepreneurial skills in order to become employers of labour.
General Ibrahim also commended the corps members for obeying the clarion call and assured them that the NYSC will continue to be responsive to the welfare and other needs of corps members. He then wished the young graduates a memorable service year experience.
Earlier in the day, the DG interacted with all the prospective corps members and staff nationwide, through a virtual addressed where he dispelled misconception about the COVID-19 vaccine and advised the corps members to ensure they were fully vaccinated, reminding them that with the policy of the Federal Government making the vaccine compulsory for civil servants, effective from December 1, 2021, corps members, who form part of the civil service will equally have to comply with the directive.
