Isyaku Gwamna has, through his Foundation, a non-profit, non-political,
non-religious organisation, empowered 100 women in different skills acquisition
in Gombe state.

The Foundation
has disbursed N1 million support to women from Gombe local government area of
the state through the Gombawa Youth Education and Women Empowerment
Initiatives. The beneficiaries were trained in various skills acquisition
programmes, including making petroleum jelly, air fresheners, disinfectants,
perfumes, confectionery, food seasoning, dairy products, juice, among others.

to Jamilu Gwamna, Sani Abubakar Banki, who presented cash donation to the 100
beneficiaries on behalf of the Foundation on the occasion, which was held at
the Jekadafari Hall, Gombe.

According to
Mr. Abubakar, “Today, 100 women from various parts of Gombe local government
area of the state, who have undergone training in different skills acquisition,
received the sum of N10,000 each as a start-up capital from Jamilu Isyaku
Gwamna Foundation. The gesture is to complement the laudable efforts of the
Gombe state government in cushioning the effects of poverty amongst vulnerable
women in the society.”

Responding
on behalf of the beneficiaries, Malama Maryam Suleiman thanked Dr. Jamilu
Gwamna for the kind gesture. She prayed to Allah to increase his wealth and
protect him in all his endeavours. She called on well-meaning individuals in
the society to emulate the good gesture by helping the less privileged.
