a statement Wednesday in Kano.

said the programme is under the Kano/France Joint Scholarship Programme, where
lecturers of tertiary institutions in the state are sent to further their
studies up to master’s and PhD levels while some of them proceed to doctoral
degrees after completing their master’s programmes.

explained that the beneficiaries were from the state-owned universities and

agreement with Niger Republic on exchange of secondary school students to study
at the Bilingual College, Niamey.

the needed infrastructure were completed in both the schools situated in
Niamey, Niger Republic, to achieve the set objectives.

the agreement, he said, a male school is
to be established at Niamey with the female college in Zinder, adding that the
male school has commenced academic activities in the past seven years, while
that of the female is on the way.

speaking, Zamro said they were in Kano to discuss the way forward to ensure
that the female school commence academic activities, adding that the visit
would go a long way in sustaining the existing bilateral relationship between
