Minna, Niger state, have been thrown into mourning following the death of
Hajiya Fatima Idris Kuta.

Hajiya Kuta, who was the Dean, School
of Administration, at the school died from complications while giving birth at

The late dean, who was the immediate
past Head of Department (HOD) of Public Administration at the institute, has
since been buried according to Islamic rites.

have described the late Hajiya Kuta as a friendly colleague, diligent staff,
hardworking lecturer and caring dean.

Commiserating with the husband of the
deceased, the school provost, Dr Muhammad Aliyu Kuta, expressed deep shock over
her death, saying the late dean was a consummate, fine and cerebral academic
with an intimidating scholarly reputation.

Dr. Kuta added that Hajiya Kuta’s death
was an irreparable loss to the entire institute and Niger state as a whole,
prayed that Almighty Allah grant her eternal rest and comfort her bereaved

A Mass Communication lecturer at the
school, Mrs. Maimuna Babangida, in a tribute she posted on her Facebook page,
described Hajiya Kuta’s death as a colossal loss to her colleagues, friends and
students who genuinely and affectionately admire her friendly personality.

was a doctoral student of University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) until her death.
