ACF expresses shock over Bantex’s demise

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF)
has expressed shock over the demise of the immediate former Deputy Governor of
Kaduna State, Arc. Bala Barnabas Bantex, describing him as a real asset to the
state.

Recall that Bantex was the immediate
former Deputy Governor of the state from 2015 to 2019.

He had served as the Chairman of
Kaura Local Government Area and was member, House of Representatives
representing Kaura Federal Constituency.

Late Arc. Bala Barnabas Bantex was a
member of the 1994 Constitutional Conference. He, however, contested for the
Senate in 2019 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and lost.

Mr Emmanuel Yawe, National Publicity
Secretary of ACF, in a statement noted that the body is sad with the demise of
the former deputy governor.

The statement explained that Bantex
died in a hospital in Abuja.

It added that the deceased served
the state with Governor Nasir El-Rufai in 2015 to 2019 but left to contest the
Senate in 2019.

The statement described the late
Arc. Bala Barnabas Bantex as an unusual gentleman, who contributed immensely in
his lifetime in stabilizing the first tenure of Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

The statement added, “He had served
his people in similar manner at the local government level as chairman Kaura
local government area and federal levels as a member of the Constitutional
Conference and House of Representatives.

The ACF condoled with El-Rufai, his
immediate family and the entire state on the loss of the great human asset.
