Checking 2025 WAEC results
“INDEBTED” written against all subjects
If a candidate has “indebted” written against all his subjects in a WAEC (West African Examinations Council) result, it means:
The candidate owes WAEC money—typically for exam fees—and the result is being withheld until the debt is cleared.
It is not a grade or remark about performance.
It means no result is released yet because the school or candidate has not fully paid the required fees.
Once the debt is paid, WAEC will release the full result.
What You Should Do:
Contact the school where the exam was taken.
Ask if your WAEC fees were fully paid.
If the school owes WAEC, you may need to wait until they settle the debt.
If you registered as a private candidate (GCE), then contact WAEC office directly to settle the issue.
