Centre, Dandago, Kano, has recently organised a special reception in
honour of its member, Jamilu Sarham, on his promotion to the rank
of Major-General and his subsequent appointment as the Commandant,
Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna. The event took place at the premises of
the centre at Dandago quarters, Gwale local government area, Kano state.

virtues and personality of Sarham, Adamu said, “General
Sarham is a brilliant, educated, and intelligent Army officer. Since
childhood, Jamilu is a person who had been ahead of his peers in school.”

Yamma, Alhaji Tanimu Tijjani Bayero, who represented traditional
rulers, advised the General to fear Allah in all he does, calling on him
to put the interest of the nation above all primordial considerations,
assuring him of their maximum cooperation, stressing that their
door is always open for elderly advice.

General Sarham thanked his Community for finding him worthy of the honour,
assuring them that he would continue to redouble his effort in promoting and
