Gov Sule commissions mining plant in Karu, Nasarawa

Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has commissioned ASGARD Mining processing plant in Roguwa community in Karu Local government area of Nasarawa State.
Engr Sule applauded the management of plant for investing in the state.
The governor charged the people of Nasarawa State to take advantage of the mining company and establish small scale enterprises towards creating employment opportunities for the youth.
On his part, Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Nasarawa State, Hon. Yakubu Kwanta, expressed delight over the governor’s commitment to investment in the state.
In the same vein, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the mining company, Mr. Obinna Anekwe, said that the industry has engaged over 100 personnel from the host community.
He disclosed that ASGARD Mining is an indigenous company established and managed by Nigeria to reduce the high rate of unemployment. He said the plant has the production capacity of 30 tones per day through the use of solar panels.
In his welcome speech, the chairman of Karu Local government council, Hon. James Thomas, said the mining plant is a blessing to the host community and applauded the leadership of engr. Abdullahi Sule for providing opportunity for investors in Nasarawa State..
