Achuba who spoke to journalists in Lokoja, the
state capital, said Kogi was fast degenerating into what he called a ‘Banana

According to him, security details
attached to him as the state’s number two citizen were withdrawn and others
thereafter barricaded his official residence, placing him under “house arrest.”

them,” he told journalists. He insisted he remains the deputy governor of Kogi,
adding that any judge who presides over the swearing-in of another deputy
governor in the state would be sanctioning illegality. He called on the federal
