Mid Summer Nightmare
Good morning fellow Nigerians, I am Captain Bamaiyi Sai’Allah of Nigerian Army making this address this morning.
I am happy to inform you that the inhumane, insensitive and murderous government of Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been overthrown by junior officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
By this, all borders are hereby closed. All activities in the nation’s airports are by this suspended till further notice. The Constitution of the Federal Republic has been set aside. We call on all Nigerians and friends in other countries to remain calm and law-abiding. We warn that any attempt to resist the regime will be met with death. The fate of the President and Vice President remain uncertain. However, we assure Nigerians that the era of slave masters oppressing the true patriotic citizens is gone. This is a new dawn for ordinary Nigerians.
All military officers above the rank of Major have been retired from the armed forces.
The takeover has become imperative because our citizens have been reduced to beggars due to the harsh economic policies of Mr Tinubu who is a protege of International Monetary Fund (IMF). Nigerian men and women now have been turned to scavengers eating from the waste bins of the rich few. All necessities of life have been taken away from an average citizen, while the thieving, murderous, occultic and irreligious politicians and their civilian collaborators in Ministries, Departments and Agencies are going about their normal life as if nothing happens. Our economy has now become a palliative model where billions are sent to state governors for distribution to the people but end up in first class palaces and corridors of power. The evidence of the unprecedented harsh living condition Nigerians are subjected to is the death of university students at Nasarawa State University caused by the scramble few mudu of rice during the distribution of palliatives by the state governor, A. A. Sule.
In the one year, Mr Tinubu came to power, what he has earned from oil sales is more than tripple what his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari had earned in his eight years as president of the Federal Republic. The highest pump price of fuel or Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) under former President Buhari was 195/litre. Now fuel sells N700/litre. Unfortunate the difference in price regime has not impacted the living condition of Nigerians. Prices of food stuff and other basic needs of life are beyond the reach of the masses. The life expectancy of Nigerian men and women are as low as that of chickens. While political leaders, family members and their friends are wallowing in opulence, the ordinary Nigerians languish in penury such that the living in Nigeria now envy the dead.
Recently, armed robbery, banditry and kidnapping for ransom have reached all time high indicating that civilian president, state governors and the National Assembly can no longer manage our country which God almighty has blessed with abundant human and material resources.
The Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) will hold the rein of Government for eight years within which we shall chart a new path for the return to parliamentary system of Government. The American-model presidential system of government is too expensive for us. It has failed to meet our expectations because it has turned politics to the most lucrative business in our beloved country. The sperks of political office has turned our lawyers, engineers, medical doctors, scientists and other professionals away from researches that could propel our country to greatnesss. They have been reduced to idiotic millionaires immediately after oath of office.
Because of our concern for ordinary Nigerians, the minimum wage for Nigerians henceforth begins at N250,000 at all tiers of government, and all unemployed higher school graduates will enjoy social safety net of N100,000.00 monthly. Any Nigerian or foreigner who choose to test our will and flout our order shall meet the wrath of the Revolutionary Council.Therefore, we warn the regional economic blocs: ECOWAS, African Union, European Union and the like, to stay clear of our internal affairs. An attempt to meddle in our internal affairs is tantamount to aggression. And by God Almighty, our military is standing by to defeat any false apostle of democratic principles coming from any part of the world.
Fellow Nigerians, we ask you to remain in your houses as further directives from Armed Forces Revolutionary Council unfold.
