NYSC exhibits SAED products at CBN fair

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Adamawa state secretariat, was part of participants at a two-day CBN fair enlightenment campaign for Adamawa and Taraba states held at Lelawal Hotel, Jimeta, Yola.

A statement from the office of the Director General of  NYSC, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim, on Sunday, said the scheme used the occasion to showcase  and advertise various categories of products developed by corps members  via  its Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme. 

Otlher participants were drawn from manufacturers, bankers, traders, farmers, cooperative societies and the general public. The various SAED products showcased  were biogas, agro- allied, ICT, shoes and bags. Others were  pastries and cosmetics

Impressed by the quality of the products and ingenuity of the corps members, the stakeholders commended the NYSC mansgrment and appreciated the corps members by buying a good number of their products.

While inspecting the products, the CBN Branch Controller, represented by the Director, Corporate Communications Department, marvelled at the biogas initiative and requested for a proposal from the NYSC with the promise to  develop it further. 

The NYSC team was led at the event by the head of SAED, Mrs. Jummai Wange Kwache, on behalf of the state coordinator, along with some members of staff, SAED trainers and corps members. 

Highlights of the event included welcome remarks by the CBN branch controller, Yola, Adamawa and Taraba state governments. 

Papers were also presented on Development Finance, eNaira, Consumer Protection, Currency Operations and Onboarding of Stakeholders on the eNaira platform.
