 Orientation camp birth: DG felicitates with nursing mother

The Director-General of NYSC, Brig-General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has rejoiced with a prospective corps member (PCM) Ramatu Yunusa, who gave birth to a baby boy soon after registering as a member of the 2021 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps in Bayelsa state. 

Speaking at the Bayelsa state Referral Hospital, Kaiama, about ten-minutes drive from the NYSC Orientation Camp, Ibrahim expressed delight at the safe delivery of the baby. and  announced that the scheme would settle the medical bills incurred by the mother and her baby.

Briefing the Director-General, the NYSC Bayelsa State Coordinator Mrs. Ojugo Elizabeth said Ramatu was conveyed to the hospital as soon as she started showing signs of labour.

Speaking during the visit, Ramatu and her husband, Liman Aliyu  Suleiman, both expressed appreciation of the support given to the family by the NYSC management.
