UBEC ES Aisha Garba applauds Kaduna’s progress at KADA EduPACT Summit

The Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Dr. Aisha Garba, has reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s basic education system through strategic partnerships and targeted reforms.
Speaking on Wednesday at the KADA EduPACT International Summit 2025 in Kaduna, Dr. Garba praised the Kaduna State Government for its sustained efforts in tackling challenges within the education sector. She highlighted the state’s achievements in increasing access to basic education, especially the marked reduction in the number of out-of-school children.
Dr. Garba commended the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, noting that deliberate and purposeful governance has ensured that more children—particularly those from marginalized and vulnerable communities—are now enrolled in school and actively learning.
Underscoring the importance of collaboration, innovation, and strategic planning, the UBEC boss reiterated the Commission’s dedication to building inclusive and resilient education systems. “UBEC is working to empower learners, enhance learning outcomes, and ensure that no child is left behind,” she said.
She further informed summit participants of key reforms being implemented by UBEC across the country. These include curriculum renewal, comprehensive teacher training initiatives, strengthened accountability frameworks, and the integration of technology into classroom instruction—all aimed at making the Commission’s interventions more responsive and effective.
Dr. Garba’s participation in the summit underscored UBEC’s ongoing drive for transformative education and its belief in the power of partnerships to deliver lasting change. She affirmed that through continued collaboration with state governments and stakeholders, UBEC remains focused on ensuring that the promise of quality basic education becomes a reality for every Nigerian child.
