This decision, announced through a statement by the Governor’s Press Secretary, Abubakar Bawa, on Friday, is the third such initiative since the inception of his administration, underscoring a consistent pattern of prioritizing the well-being of public servants. Beneficiaries of this timely disbursement include state and local government workers, staff of the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), and pensioners across Sokoto State.
Governor Aliyu, currently on pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, conveyed his Eid message to the workers, urging them to view this gesture not just as a benevolent act, but as a clarion call to rededicate themselves to duty and service. “To whom much is given, much is expected,” he reminded, emphasizing the need for greater commitment and accountability among civil servants.
